LIBRON (Fernand), CLOUZOT (Henri). The Corset in Art and Customs from the 13th to the 20th Century. Paris, Libron, 1933.

First edition of this monumental history of the corset. One of 775 numbered copies on Arches vellum paper (no. 171), second paper, enriched with a suite of loose-leaf illustrations comprising 16 plates outside the text.
The book is illustrated with 36 inset plates, 72 illustrations in the text, 7 facsimiles and 40 inset plates engraved on copper (some of which are coloured) placed at the end of the album. Preface by Louis Barthou.
The work is the result of a collaboration between Fernand Libron, president of the Trade Association of Corset Manufacturers, and Henri Clouzot, curator of the Galliera Museum. A fine copy. (Hiler, 544).
