MATISSE (Henri). Recent Works 1947–1948. [Catalogue of the exhibition held from June to September 1949 at the Musée National d’Art Moderne, Paris]. In-8, paperback, with a colour illustrated cover based on a paper cut-out by the artist. The catalogue was printed by Mourlot and contains 12 black-and-white reproductions of works by Henri Matisse and one in blue, together with a list of the works on display and books illustrated by the artist. Limited edition of 2,000 copies (no. 1,672). Included is a fine engraving by Matisse, enhanced with stencil work, signed on the plate, taken from the 1945 album for Raucour/Renoir perfumes.
