[GAVARNI (Paul)]. Images de Gavarni. Paris: HEC, 1955. In-12, green cardboard binding, front cover cold-stamped with a fabric medallion bearing the initial ‘G’ in the centre, double gilded border, a gilded wing in the centre of the back cover, decorated spine with the name ‘Gavarni’ in gold lettering, two sections slightly loose (publisher’s binding). Booklet published for the HEC evening at the Opéra on 17 March 1955. It was printed in a run of 1,200 copies on B.F.K. de Rives paper. It is illustrated with reproductions of drawings by Gavarni and includes an unpublished text by Pierre Mac Orlan, *Les Visiteurs de Gavarni*. It features advertisements from perfumers, luxury brands, tailors and other advertisers who contributed to its production. This copy includes a loose two-page insert containing the amended programme. Ex-libris KF. A very fine copy.
