Folio-sized, loose-leaf, without the cover. 14 original lithographs by Pinet de Gaulade. Print run of 363 copies; no. 164 signed by the artist. The adventurer and writer Henry de Monfreid (1879–1974) was originally from the small seaside town of La Franqui (Aude), where his friend, the Belgian artist Louis-Charles Pinet de Gaulade (1920–2010), founded an art gallery through which several limited-edition, often illustrated, luxury publications were released.
