Description
Edward Colonna (1862–1948) Art Nouveau-era pendant. In 18-carat yellow gold (750°/00), adorned with a flower composed of white baroque pearls – likely fine-quality – set within a sinuous, openwork design enamelled in green, culminating in a white baroque pearl pendant. Signed on the reverse Gross weight: 13 g Length: 7 cm We note a tin solder repair on the reverse and slight chips to the enamel. Bibliography: - A similar brooch is featured in Alastair Duncan’s book, *Paris Salons 1895–1914*, Volume I, page 157. - Vever, Volume III: features several designs created for the Bing firm or as a designer. Provenance: purchased by the current owner’s great-aunt at the time of the 1900 World’s Fair. Passed down through the family.
