When we speak of a creative trend at Cartier, collectors often think of timepieces bearing the Cartier London signature, which are renowned for their distinctive shapes and unique designs. But Cartier Paris also experimented with its icons, including the Tank, creating an ‘elongated mini’ version in the late 1960s. This size meant the brand had to remove the famous railway-track minute track typical of the Tank. And like many of the House of the Panther’s watches, it is fitted with a LeCoultre movement – in this case, the 845 – which powers this iteration of the famous watch from the House on Rue de la Paix.
