Description
BREGUET TRIPLE QUANTIEME CHRONOGRAPH Serial number: 585 - 488.537. Steel case. Light grey dial, featuring three sub-dials (seconds, minute totaliser, hour totaliser and moon phase), triple calendar display showing day, date and month. Manual-winding mechanical movement (calibre 13''' Valjoux 88). Clip-on case back. Leather strap with a modern signed steel folding clasp. Plexiglas crystal. Circa 1972. Diameter: 36 mm. Accompanied by its archive extract and a Breguet presentation box. A stainless steel wristwatch with a mechanical movement, by Breguet. Circa 1972. This chronograph was delivered on 17 June 1977 to a Mr Vignat. It was manufactured in December 1972. It is interesting to note that the few known examples of triple calendar and moon phase watches in stainless steel manufactured by Breguet were generally produced and sold several years apart, spanning the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. This strongly suggests that they were produced only to order and never in significant numbers. An extract from the Breguet archives, dated and signed on 12 February 2010 by Mr Emmanuel Breguet, together with a certificate from Breguet dated 17 October 2000, accompany this watch. Condition: Sold as is, with signs of wear and use. The movement was in working order at the time of writing this description; a routine service is recommended; no warranty is provided.
