PATEK PHILIPPE GENEVA Wristwatch in 18K rose gold (750 thousandths), silver-coloured dial, enamelled engraved markings, applied 18K rose gold (750 thousandths) baton hour markers and Roman numerals, gold fillet hands, small seconds at six o’clock. Clip-on case back in 18K rose gold (750 thousandths), inscribed on the inside with ‘Patek, Philippe & Co Genève Swiss’, numbered 674705, reference 2506/1, manufactured by Emile Vichet (Geneva Key hallmark 9). Hand-wound mechanical movement signed Patek, Philippe & Co, numbered 959611, calibre 10-200. Brown leather strap, gold-plated metal pin buckle. The watch was in working order at the time of valuation; however, no guarantee is given as to its future operation or the condition of its components. Scratches on the case; the dial has been cleaned; there are some traces of adhesive on the hour markers. Accompanied by an extract from the Patek Philippe archives, commissioned specifically for this sale, identifying the watch as reference 2506/1, manufactured in 1952 and sold on 2 June 1953.
