Concerning riots, gatherings and unrest, including: food riots (unrest in the Bas-Rhin, Marseille, Toulon, Nîmes); in Douai (1791): the ‘goulottes’ affair, riots and banditry; in the Pays de Caux (1791): the ‘war of the rag-pickers and lemonade sellers’; in Etampes, the Vendée (Chatillon) and the Mâcon region: the onset of unrest, the ‘Great Fear’, etc.
