DELLA CHIESA, Francesco Agostino. *Fiori di blasoneria per ornare la corona di Savoja con I fregi della nobiltà* (Coat-of-arms flowers to adorn the crown of Savoy with the emblems of the nobility), faithfully reprinted from the 1655 edition. Turin, Alessandro Federico Cavaleri, 1655, later reprinted in 1777 by Onorato Derossi. 1 vol. in-4. Contemporary calfskin, plain spine with decoration. Half-title, title page, [2]ff, 73pp, [1]f catalogue of the Derossi bookshop. Woodcut portrait of the author in a beautiful typographical frame on the reverse of the half-title page; coat of arms of the Kingdom of Piedmont-Sardinia engraved on the title page. A fine 18th-century reprint of this work, originally published in Turin in 1655, serving as the ideal complement to *La Couronne royale de Savoie*, one of the earliest historical works on the ancient Savoyard nobility (featuring a detailed description of the coats of arms). Della Chiesa (1593–1662) was Bishop of Saluzzo, his hometown, as well as a historian and adviser to Victor Amadeus I; he is also known for his *Relatione dello stato presente del Piemonte* (1635). Title page missing, some foxing.
