Red half-chagrin with corner pieces, double gilt fillet on the covers, large gilt title decorated with fleurons, gilt publisher’s mark, ribbed spine, gilt title, gilt edges, pages mounted on tabs. 50 photographs printed on albumen paper and mounted on both sides of large cardboard sheets. Title at the top: ‘Littoral méditerranéen’, caption at the bottom, photograph number at the bottom left, and signature ‘ND Phot’. The Neurdein firm was founded in 1864 by Etienne Neurdein, son of the photographer Charlet, who was soon joined by his brother Antonin.
