PLANOX (France) Stereoscopic tabletop viewer with a magnetic system and its storage stand for the 6 x 13 cm format, in varnished mahogany. The eyepiece lenses are present, as is the frosted glass at the rear. Adjustments for interpupillary distance and focus. Approximately 230 positive stereoscopic plates of Marseille and the surrounding area, dating from around 1920–30, are contained in the base’s drawers (most with their metal strips), as well as in boxes, some of which contain stereoscopic views in the 45 x 107 mm format. Included is an unmarked handheld stereoscopic viewer for the 45 x 107 mm format, with a focus adjustment.
