Single-sided bronze medal. "Judgement of Solomon" dated 1462 (130.04 g; Ø 100 mm).

Engraver: Petri of Milan whose real name was Luigi Capponi or Aloysius Petri Capponis di Mediolano 1450-1506 was a sculptor in Rome.

René I d'Anjou, King of Jerusalem, Naples, Sicily and Aragon, Duke of Bar and Lorraine, Marquis of Pont-à-Mousson, Count of Provence and Forcalquier, Piedmont and Barcelona. He was born at Château d'Angers on 16 January 1409. He was the son of Louis II, Duke of Anjou, and Yolande, daughter of the King of Aragon. In 1453, on his return to France, he ceded the Duchy of Lorraine to his son, who died shortly afterwards. He married Jeanne de Laval, daughter of Guy XIII and Isabelle de Bretagne.... In 1473 he retired to his states in Provence... He died on 10 July 1480.
