Superb.
These medals were struck for the International Colonial Exhibition held in Paris from 6 May to 15 November 1931, at the Porte Dorée and on the site of the Bois de Vincennes. It brought together the colonies of the four continents and showcased the products and achievements of all France's overseas colonies and dependencies, as well as those of the other colonial powers taking part, in pavilions reminiscent, in the case of the French colonial empire, of the architecture of these territories, in particular North Africa and Madagascar; America, with Canada and the islands; Asia, with Indochina; and Oceania, with Polynesia. The highlight of the exhibition was the reconstruction of the Temple of Angkor. It welcomed eight million visitors, who came to "circumnavigate the world in a day", according to the slogan of the time.
