After the fall of Troy, *Aeneas, a Trojan warrior, was ordered by the gods to flee with a group of people, including his father and his son, Iulus. After Aeneas' 'Odyssey' across the Mediterranean, he landed in Italy, and his legacy became the foundation of Rome, his descendants being Romulus and Remus. This story was later immortalised in Virgil's Aeneid.
