Rare work (especially the 2 volumes together) which Engel & Serrure wrote was "one of the fundamental works to be consulted for the numismatics of Gaul". Charles Édouard Lambert was born in Saint-Lô in 1794 and died in Bayeux on 23 July 1870. He was a French librarian and archaeologist.
