This work, both technical and artistic, reveals a surrealist approach to coinage, breaking with traditional methods. Lancelot Lengyel was a close friend of André Breton, whom he advised in the development of his collection of Celtic coins. Impressed by his knowledge and artistic eye, Breton dedicated numerous references to him in his writings.
