In Quarto Jésus. Bound in ½ calf with tan corners, matching marbled endpapers. Smooth spine with gilt title, partitions and ornaments richly fashioned with cold irons and gold leaf.
The original covers are preserved.

Beautiful binding. Superb condition.
Binder: Claude Vallin - Saumur 49 (signature at foot of 2nd cover in gilt lettering on leather) in 1992.
Jean-Baptiste Jérôme Marie Henri du Fayet de la Tour published the Atlas des monnaies gauloises comprising 55 plates engraved by Léon Dardel and which describes 2000 coins. It is still a reference work.
