Félix Bienaimé Feuardent was born in Cherbourg on 27 April 1819 and died in Paris on 11 August 1907. He was a French antiquarian, numismatist and photographer. In the 19th century, he was the leading dealer in medals and antiques in Paris. A renowned expert in the main auction rooms, he is best known for his famous work classifying tokens and coins. This work now bears the name of its author.
