Roman Republic (509–27 BC), Rome, Julius Caesar (69–44 BC) Denarius, 47–46 BC. Silver. Obverse: Head of Venus facing right, with a serrated border. Reverse: Aeneas walking to the left, carrying Anchises on his left shoulder and the Palladium in his right hand; on the right, the inscription ‘CAESAR’ running downwards.  Perforated border.
