ANCIENT GREECE - GREEK Boeotia, Thebes. Archaic drachma, undated (525–480 BC), Thebes. Obverse: Boeotian shield. Reverse: Quadripartite sunken square with mill-wheel wings. HGC 4, 1337 – BCD Boeotia 334; Silver – 6.02 g – 14 mm – 12 h Acquired from the Banque Populaire du Nord in 1978. On a globular flan, high relief on the obverse and a deep recessed square. Beautiful grey patina. Very good condition.
