Peloponnese, Argolis, Argos. Hemidrachm or triobol bearing the name of the magistrate Damar-ND (146–85 BC), Argos.
Obverse: Wolf’s protome facing right.
Rev. Δ-Α/ΜΑΡ surrounding a large A; within the A, a trident to the right.

A fine, vigorous strike, centred on the obverse and slightly off-centre on the reverse, with the hollow square deeply incised. Attractive grey patina with iridescent highlights. One of the finest examples known. Superb, in mint condition.
