ANCIENT GREECE - GREEK Chersonesos, Panticapaeum. Bronze AE21 ND (310–303 BC), Panticapaeum. Obverse: Head of Pan facing right. Reverse: Π-Α-Ν. Griffin facing left. Below, a sturgeon facing left. HGC.7, 113 – MacDonald 69 – Anokhin 1023 – SNG BM (Black Sea) 869–871; Bronze – 7.76 g – 21.5 mm – 12 h Acquired from Poinsignon in 2015. Beautifully struck, this specimen has hardly been in circulation. With a lovely brown patina. Superb.
