ANCIENT GREECE - GREEK Lycia, ruler unknown (c. 520–470/460 BC). Stater with a wild boar on the obverse, facing right, ND (520–480 BC). Obverse: Head of a boar facing right. Reverse: Incuse square pattern, consisting of a rectangle and squares separated by triangles or points. SNG von Aulock 4043 v.; Silver – 9.06 g – 20 mm – 12 h From the Boule 6 auction, 14 November 2018. On a wide blank, featuring the boar complete with its bristles and the back of the protome edged with a line of dots. With a slight grey patina. Very Good to Superb condition.
