Cilicia, city unknown. Obol featuring an eagle, ND (c. 330 BC), workshop unknown.
Obverse: Male head crowned with ears of corn, facing left, within a round grenetis.
Reverse: Eagle facing left; in front, a club; and below, a lion facing left, all within a square grenetis.

This type also exists with a ‘B’ on the reverse, the initial of Balakros, satrap of Cilicia from 333 to 323 BC. Only minimal scratches. Beautifully styled. Attractive collector’s patina. Almost Superb.
