Cyrenaica, Cyrene. Litra or 1/10th of a gold stater, undated (after 308 BC), Cyrene.
Obverse: Bearded head of Zeus-Ammon facing right.
Reverse: Lightning bolt between two stars.
BMC 216–220; Gold – 0.71 g – 7.6 mm – 12 h
Minted after the assassination of Ophellas (308 BC), probably under the Ptolemaic governor Magas. A well-detailed and complete specimen, with a golden patina. Superb.
