Obverse: REX IVBA. Diademed bust of Juba II facing right.
Reverse: Bust of Africa facing right, draped and wearing an elephant’s skull as a headdress, with a pearl necklace; behind her, two javelins; in front of her, an ear of wheat.

Acquired from Leconte in 1990.
Of remarkable quality for this type, with high relief. Off-centre strike on the obverse with two tiny spots of corrosion. Spectacular and highly detailed reverse. Superb.
