GAUL - CELTIC
Massilia - Marseille. Light drachma or tetrabole ND (150–125 BC), Marseille.
Obverse: Draped and diademed bust of Artemis facing right, wearing earrings and a pearl necklace; behind her, a quiver and a bow.
Reverse: ΜΑΣΣΑ / ΛΙΗΤΩΝ. Lion facing right; (branch) in the foreground.
MHM.37/13 - Dicomon DRM-37-13 - Brenot type 38; Silver - 2.69 g - 17 mm - 6 h
Acquired from Silberstein in 1984.
No variation on the obverse but a branch or twig on the reverse. Well centred on a fairly large blank. Wear is even. With a grey patina. Almost Superb.
