Massilia – Marseille. Light drachma or tetrabole, incuse strike, ND (150–125 BC), Marseille.
Obverse: Draped and diademed bust of Artemis facing right, wearing earrings and a pearl necklace; behind her, a quiver and a bow.
Reverse: The same figure in intaglio.
MHM.37 v. – Brenot types 30–38; Silver – 2.81 g – 15 mm – 12 h
Acquired from Walter in 1984.
Clear incuse strike on the reverse. Slightly off-centre. Beautiful grey patina. Superb.
