Massilia – Marseille. Light drachma or tetrabole, incuse strike, ND (150–125 BC), Marseille.
Obverse: Draped and diademed bust of Artemis facing right, wearing earrings and a pearl necklace; behind her, a quiver and a bow.
Reverse: The same figure in intaglio.
MHM.37 v. – Brenot types 30–38; Silver – 2.61 g – 15.5 mm – 12 h
Acquired in Lille in 1998.
Clear incuse strike on the reverse. Excellent centring on both the obverse and reverse. Of remarkable quality for a coin with a flaw. Superb.
