GAUL - CELTIC Massilia – Marseille. Light drachma or tetrabole, incuse strike, ND (150–125 BC), Marseille. Obverse: Draped and diademed bust of Artemis facing right, wearing earrings and a pearl necklace; behind her, a quiver and a bow. Reverse: The same figure in intaglio. MHM.37 v. – Brenot types 30–38; Silver – 2.66 g – 16 mm – 12 h Acquired from Yves [Cellard?] in 1975. Clear incuse strike on the reverse. Off-centre strike on the obverse, slightly less so on the reverse. With a dark patina. Very Good to Superb.
