GAUL - CELTIC Massilia – Marseille. Light drachma or tetrabole, featuring a bust wearing a diadem, with an incuse ‘ND’ mark (100–82 BC), Marseille. Obverse: Head of Artemis facing right, wearing a diadem, with earrings and a pearl necklace; behind her, a quiver and a bow; in front, the monogram Π or TA. Reverse: Same type, struck in intaglio. MHM.cf. 50B/56 – Dicomon cf. DRM-55-58 (TA) – Brenot cf. 96; Silver – 2.72 g – 17 mm – 12 h Acquired from Cossettini in 2004. Clear incuse strike on the reverse. Well centred, the blank slightly concave. With a light patina with golden highlights. Almost Superb.
