GAUL - CELTIC
Celto-Ligurians. Imitation of a light drachma or tetrabole from Marseille, undated (second half of the 2nd century BC).
Obverse: Stylised bust of Artemis facing right, wearing a diadem.
Reverse: Stylised lion facing left, with tongue hanging out, mane formed of four bezants. Above, two joined groups consisting of two inverted Cs superimposed.

This reverse is similar to Zürich 1024 (and CGB bga_372832). Beautifully struck on a high-quality silver blank. The designs are characteristic and clear. With a fine patina. Rare. Very Fine to Superb.
