GAUL - CELTIC Aulerques Cénomans. Denarius or minimi bearing the head of Pallas; reverse showing the flower ‘ND’ (late first half of the 1st century BC). Obverse: Helmeted profile of Pallas facing right, wearing a stylised helmet and with dotted hair. Reverse: Galloping horse facing right, surmounted by the remains of a charioteer above and, below, a half-flower atop a tripod. DT.2367 = this specimen! – LT.–; Silver – 0.91 g – 13 mm – 8 h Acquired from the BPN [Banque Populaire du Nord] in 1986. This is the specimen illustrated in the *Nouvel Atlas* no. 2367. A rare variety featuring the flower on the reverse. Beautiful dark patina. Almost Superb.
