GAUL - CELTIC Aulerci Eburovices. Lamellar, scyphate denarius featuring a wild boar on the obverse (1st century BC). Obverse. Stylised helmeted head facing right, the eye beneath the large eyebrow arch and a lock of hair falling diagonally, or laurel wreath, at the nape of the neck. Reverse. Free-running horse galloping to the right, a star before its mouth; above, an inverted S; between its legs, a boar facing right; at the top, a sort of plait or garland. DT.S 2428A v. - LT.-; Silver - 0.81 g - 15 mm - 5 h Acquired from Séb [Sébastien Prat] in November 2002. Without the boar on the obverse. Fairly wide coin, with a grey patina. Almost Superb.
