GAUL - CELTIC Bituriges / Uncertain issues from the Central-West. Drachma with superimposed horses, Class I with fleurons, Variant 1 without the ‘ND’ moustache (mid-2nd century BC). Obverse: Beardless head facing right, hair in thick strands in the Aquitanian style, wearing a collar. Reverse: Two superimposed horses facing right; a floral motif below (and another identical one above). DT.3355 - LT.5986; Silver - 3.45 g - 15.5 mm - 2 h Acquired from Steph. Wero [Stéphane Werochowski] in 2018. The blank shows only slight cracking from the strike. The ‘fleuron’ on the reverse is particularly clear. Attractive grey-golden patina. Condition: Very Good to Superb.
