Description
GAUL - CELTIC Bituriges Cubes. Drachma, type featuring a legless horseman, ND (2nd–1st centuries BC). Obverse: Apollonian profile to the left, with hair in parallel strands. Reverse: Horse facing left, mounted by a legless rider holding the reins. Below, a large, centred flower with four petals, flanked by four globules in the quarters. DT.S 3367B = this specimen! ; Silver – 3.06 g – 16 mm – 6 h Acquired from S. Werochowski in 2007. This is the specimen illustrated in the supplement to the *Nouvel Atlas*, plate XII, no. 3367B. Shows even wear, with slight thinning in front of the face. Grey patina. Very rare. Very Good condition.
