GAUL - CELTIC
Lemovices. Drachma featuring a carnyx, ND (1st century BC).
Obverse: Profile to the right, with elaborate hair, dotted between the strands; a scroll in the shape of an accolade emerges from the mouth.
Reverse: Galloping horse to the left. Above, a carnyx to the left and below, a small head to the left.

Acquired from Burgan in 2005.
Well centred with the concave reverse well preserved. The edges are slightly corroded and have been cleaned. TTB / Superb.
