GAUL - CELTIC
Peoples of the Atlantic coast. Quinary (fractional) coin featuring a human head within a wolf’s muzzle, ND (150–50 BC).
Obverse. A wolf’s mouth with bared teeth, open to the right and holding, between its jaws, a small human head to the right. Above and below, what appear to be tufts of the wolf’s fur, crescent-shaped.
Reverse: Seahorse on the right, with a long triton’s tail.

This is the specimen illustrated in the *Nouvel Atlas*, plate XXXI, no. 3695.
The strike is irregular and the edge is slightly chipped on the right. Even wear with a grey patina. Very rare. Very Good to Very Good-Very Good.
