GAUL - CELTIC Tolosates. Drachma, ‘plume’ series [or with the so-called ‘Negroid’ head] ND (2nd–1st centuries BC). Obverse: Head facing right, hair arranged in three thick, plaited S-shapes. Reverse: A ball-headed cross forming four quarters, decorated with a globule beneath a crescent in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters, and a small ring beneath a crescent in the 3rd quarter.
