GAUL - CELTIC
Narbonne and Roussillon, imitations of Rhodian coins. Uninscribed drachma, imitation of a heavy Rhodian drachma ND (240–220 BC).
Obverse: Stylised female head facing left, with ornate hair and a large earring resting on her cheek.
Reverse: A rose viewed from above, forming a beaded and circled cross, containing inverted chevrons and flanked by crescent moons.
Savès 487 - LT.2325 v.; Silver - 4.18 g - 18 mm - 12 h
A lovely design, with the obverse featuring a bust that is already figurative, with flowing hair and an earring with three pendants resting on the cheek. Grey patina. Very good condition.
