GAUL - CELTIC Narbonne and Roussillon. Hemiobolus (or hemilitra) with a crescent moon on the obverse (c. 228–187 BC). Obverse: Bust of Apollo wearing a laurel wreath, facing right, amidst a grove of olive trees. Reverse: Crescent with tips ending in two globules, one globule inside. Villaronga 6 p.78 – Benaniba/Darnaud 1, 1317; Silver – 0.34 g – 10 mm – 5 h Well centred, the blank is wide and barely notched. Beautiful patina with golden-brown highlights. Almost Superb.
