GAUL - CELTIC Aedui. Quinaris bearing the inscription COIOS / ORGIITIRIX, Class III ND (after 52 BC). Obv. COIOS. Helmeted head facing left, modelled on ROMA. Two rows of decorative striations on the helmet and a torque around the neck. Rev. [ORG]IITIR[IX]. Harnessed horse facing left, on a line representing the ground. In the exergue, a small ring between two fleurons. DT.3229 = this specimen! – LT.4819; Silver – 1.95 g – 14 mm – 11 h Acquired in London in 1999. This is the specimen illustrated in the *Nouvel Atlas* no. 3229. A faint trace of a chip on the edge of the reverse. With the full legend on the obverse and a clear profile. An interesting reverse featuring the exergue motif. Grey patina. Almost Superb.
