GAUL - CELTIC Ambiens. Denarius of the human profile/horse type, Class I, with a bare, beardless head, ND (1st century BC). Obverse. Head facing left, with a defined ear and a full head of hair in S-shaped locks; in front of the profile, a double-headed serpent in an S-shape. Reverse: An androcephalic horse leaping to the left, with a shaggy mane and a centred ring adorning the shoulder. Below and in front, a centred ring; above the hindquarters, a sort of bird with outstretched wings. DT.355 = this specimen! - LT.- - Num. Booklet 127; Silver - 1.31 g - 12.5 mm - 1 h Acquired from Fleury in 2003, stated as originating from Liercourt (80). This is the specimen illustrated in the *Nouvel Atlas* no. 355.
