Denarius ‘Ambiani communal fund’, Class II, featuring a horse turning its head; a variant with the horse facing right on the reverse, bearing the inscription ‘ND’ (1st century BC). Obverse: Horse on the right, turning its head backwards; decoration of pointed annulets in the field and on the horse to represent the joints. Reverse: Horse facing right (with a bird of prey on the rump?); decoration of pointed annulets and rosettes in the field and on the horse to represent the joints.
