Two facing horses (or horned animals), a dotted ring between them, a dotted ring behind them; below, a reclining animal resembling a bird of prey. Reverse: A free-standing horse on the left, a pointed ring below it, an outer border, all set within a grain field. DT.438 v. - LT.-; Silver - 0.56 g - 11 mm - 6 h Acquired from CB [Claude Burgan] in 1995. A complete and well-preserved scyphate denarius. With a grey patina showing bluish highlights on the obverse and golden highlights on the reverse. Condition: Very Good to Superb.
