GAUL - CELTIC
Ambiens. Denarius from the ‘Ambiani common fund’, Class I with a boar on the reverse (1st century BC).
Obverse: A boar on the right, with bristling bristles, a dotted ring between its legs and on its thigh; above, ‘an arc of flames’.
Reverse: A horse or horned animal on the right, a bit above and in front of the head, a beaded rosette above the back, a dotted ring between the legs.
