GAUL - CELTIC
Atrebates. Quinar or light denarius, inscribed with CARSICIOS / COMMIOS, class I ND (1st century BC).
Obverse: CARSICIOS. Female effigy facing right, wearing a diadem, hair in a bun at the nape of the neck, with a pearl necklace and the upper part of a garment.
Reverse: [COMMI]OS. Helmeted horseman facing right, holding a shield.

Acquired from Hugo Taittinger in 2016.
The legend on the obverse is complete. Slight corrosion on the margins, with an antique patina. Rare. Almost Mint Condition.
