Obverse: Bust of a bearded man facing right, with shaggy hair swept back, wearing a cloak fastened around the neck; behind him, a Gallic shield. Reverse: L HOSTILIVS - SASERN. A galloping two-horse chariot to the right, driven by a charioteer. Behind him, a naked Gallic warrior, armed with a spear and a Gallic shield, facing backwards. RRC.448/2a – Sydenham 952; Silver – 4.13 g – 18.5 mm – 2 h With a CNG 2011 label (not found on the website). The strike is slightly off-centre on the obverse and complete on the reverse.
