Obv. MAG. PIVS. IMP. [ITER]. Head of Pompey the Great facing right, between a sacrificial vase and a lituus.
Rev. incuse strike.

An incredible incuse strike of Sextus Pompeius’s denarius bearing the effigy of his father, in exceptional condition, with a grey collector’s patina. It should be noted that an incuse denarius of the same type was offered for sale in MDC 4 no. 58 and MDC 10 no. 45. Superb.
